The Check Matrix
Review every check in your audit in one list. Filter by result, category, or page, search checks, and read the notes recorded for each verdict.
The Check matrix tab
Select the Check matrix tab on the results page for the most granular view of your audit. Every check appears as a row, grouped by category and ordered by WCAG criterion. Each row shows the criterion number, the check title, and a result badge: Pass, Fail, N/A, or Pending.
Choosing a page or screen
A selector above the list defaults to all pages (or all screens for apps). With all surfaces selected, each row shows the combined result across them:
- A single badge appears when every surface shares the same result
- A check shows Pass overall only when it passed on every surface, and N/A only when it was not applicable everywhere
- If any surface failed, the row shows a count such as "2 of 5 failed"
- Otherwise a progress count such as "3 of 5 passed" appears
Select a single page or screen to see its individual result for each check, along with any notes recorded during the walkthrough. See recording results for how notes are captured.
Filtering and searching
Use the search box to find checks by title or WCAG criterion. Two dropdowns narrow the list further:
- The result filter offers All, Passed, Failed, N/A, and Pending, each with a live count
- The category filter offers the four categories: Visual checks, Keyboard & interaction, Content & language, and Page structure
Filtering to Failed is the quickest way to build a remediation worklist.
Acting on failures
Once you have identified the failing checks, raise tickets so the work is tracked through to resolution. See creating tickets.
