Changing Your Plan
How to upgrade or downgrade your Auditsu plan, when changes take effect, and what happens to your assets when you move to the Free plan.
Who can change the plan
Plan changes are made by the organisation owner. See roles and permissions.
Upgrading
- Open Settings and select Billing.
- Select Adjust Plan to open the plans page.
- Choose Monthly or Yearly billing.
- Select the upgrade button on the plan you want.
If you are moving from the Free plan to a paid plan, you are taken to Stripe checkout to enter payment details. When you return, the billing page confirms your plan is active, with a Continue where you left off shortcut if you started the upgrade from a task. Upgrades between paid plans apply immediately. Current prices are on the pricing page.
Downgrading
Downgrades from the plans page are scheduled rather than immediate: your current plan runs until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, then the change applies. While a change is pending, the plans page shows Change Scheduled with the effective date, and the billing page shows the scheduled change with a Keep current plan button to cancel it.
Switching billing interval works the same way: moving to yearly applies immediately, while moving back to monthly takes effect at the next billing cycle.
Changing back to Free
- Open Settings, select Billing, then Adjust Plan.
- On the Free plan card, select Change back to Free plan.
Your plan changes to Free at the end of the current billing period. Until then you can undo it from the billing page with Reactivate or Keep current plan.
What happens to your work on the Free plan
Your data is not deleted, but Free plan limits apply:
- Assets above the Free plan's limit are frozen. Frozen assets are labelled Frozen, stay viewable, and become read-only.
- Mobile assets are labelled Not on Free plan and are read-only, because the Free plan is web only.
- The owner gets a one-time swap: select Activate on a frozen website asset and choose an active asset to freeze in its place.
- If you published a hosted accessibility statement, a banner shows when it will be removed unless you upgrade.
